This Week's Pillar: Values & Ideals
Values & Ideals Week takes a look at our mental structure, how our beliefs are formed, and what makes us hold onto them so tightly when we "know" we are right. At ORM, we view our Values as the things we actually spend time doing (whether it's what we want to be doing or not), as well as what is important to us. Perspective. Our Ideals then become part of the aspirational space in our minds -- unattached to our expectations in the way that we tend to conflate them. The difference is semantics, but it helps support our mental relationship with time and energy towards things that are important to us.  

Try this at home:  Start identifying your own Values and Ideals. We recommend you write them down and compare contrast with your Mentors list, where you will find the origins of many of these beliefs, values and ideals that make up your unique raw material..
